About the Artist

Dee Dee Murry (sort of shown here with the love of her life, Sophie) was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Her main interests in art subjects are horses, dogs, wildlife and all animals. Her art is owned by clients world wide. She has achieved many regional, national and international awards with her art, including the Washington State Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year, Delaware Duck Stamp winner, Best of Show at the Puyallup Art Show over 1,000 entries, 1st in the Artist's Magazine national competition over 1600 entries, the top 10 in the highly competitive Federal Duck Stamp competition, as well as many others. She is also in a documentary on Animal Planet, along with her Long Haired Dachshund, Hallie, who also painted and was totally blind (which is a whole other story) called "Million Dollar Duck."

Her love for animals shows through in her art where she strives to capture the personality and essence of each individual animal, while paying close attention to correct anatomy and detail.
